Leather Corals

Leather corals comprise a large sector of the soft coral group. Most are quite adaptable to lighting conditions and will tolerate higher nutrient levels within the aquarium. Many are very hardy and therefore recommended for the beginner. Leather corals do occasionally appear to have a waxy buildup - this is a normal shedding of their outer skin.
